When I was a child, my grandfather told me a scary story about our village. He said that many years ago, people heard strange sounds during the night near the farms. One morning, a poor donkey was found dead beside a small barn. The animal had strange marks on its neck, and nobody knew what happened. My grandfather said the villagers were very afraid. Some believed it was a wild animal, but the older people said it was the Chupacabra. Every night, the dogs barked loudly, and people stayed inside their homes after dark. One cold night, my grandfather and his friends walked near the forest with flashlights. Suddenly, they saw a dark creature with glowing red eyes watching them from behind the trees. The creature moved very fast and disappeared into the darkness. My grandfather always told me, “Never walk alone at night near the forest.” Even today, many people in the village still remember the legend of the Chupacabra.
