Guardianship in Islam is a religious duty and responsibility, not a privilege or a form of domination. It obligates the husband to protect and care for his wife, manage family affairs, and provide financially, as stated in the verse: {Men are the protectors and maintainers of women} [An-Nisa: 34]. This guardianship is based on justice, affection, respect, and the management of affairs, not on control and tyranny.
