In the time of Jesus, a rich man asked Him how he could obtain eternal life. Jesus said, “Give your wealth to the poor and follow Me.” But the man became sad, because he had many possessions. Jesus then asked His disciples, “How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!” Everyone was astonished, and Jesus added, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” This story teaches us that money should not dominate our hearts, and that trusting and following God is more important than wealth.
