Baya was basking in the warm sun, his massive body sprawled across the riverbank. Kancil had an idea. He approached Baya and said, "Hello, Baya! You're looking quite relaxed today." Baya opened one eye. "Ah, Kancil! What brings you here?" Kancil smiled. "I was wondering if you'd like to help me with a little challenge. I want to see who can hold their breath the longest." Baya's ears perked up. "A challenge? I'm in!" Kancil led Baya to the river. "Let's dive in and see who can stay underwater the longest." Baya nodded and they both dove into the water. Kancil quickly swam to the shore and waited for Baya to surface. After a few minutes, Baya's head popped out of the water, gasping for air. Kancil was already waiting on the shore, laughing. "You lost, Baya!" Kancil exclaimed. Baya was surprised. "How did you do that?" Kancil just smiled. "I'm a clever mouse deer, that's all."
